Men’s big & tall retailer KingSize Direct, in partnership with Comenity Bank, offers a credit card that allows you to finance your payments over time and get some cardholder-only discounts. Is that enough to make this card worth it? Our overview / review of the KingSize Direct credit card is below:
The first thing to know about the KingSize Direct credit card is that it has very limited acceptance outside KingSize Direct. In fact, the only other stores that accept it are KingSize’s sister stores Brylane Home, Bargain Catalog Outlet, SwimsuitsForAll, Jessica London, Roaman’s, Woman Within, and FullBeauty.com, most of which are women’s stores. This is a strike against the KingSize card — do you really want to open a new credit line just for this one retailer?
Possibly, but only if you are a very frequent shopper. Other than allowing you to finance your purchases, here is what the KingSize Direct credit card promises you:
- 2 points per dollar on card purchases, with a $10 rewards card issued to you every time you reach 400 points.
- 20% off an order for your birthday, and double points on orders during your birthday month.
- Four free shipping events per year.
- Other card-only discounts and special offers throughout the year
Decent rewards, but again only good if you are a very regular KingSize buyer.
Now, about the card’s ridiculously high interest rate — 27.24%!! Do not get this card unless you are absolutely sure you will pay off the complete balance every month — otherwise the interest you pay will essentially cancel out the rewards you receive.
With all that said, you can apply for the KingSize Direct credit card via this online application.
