Review: AAA Credit Card

aaa-credit-cardThe American Automobile Association, also known as AAA or Triple A, offers the AAA Member Rewards Visa credit card to its members that qualify. Our overview / review of the card is below:

The AAA Member Rewards Visa offers 3 points per dollar on AAA purchases as well as travel, movie and attraction tickets, 2 points per dollar on gas, grocery and drug store purchases, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases. You can use your points for cash, travel rewards, merchandise, gift cards, and more.

The card is issued by Bank of America, so you are getting a Bank of America credit card if you get the AAA card. The interest rate can be as low as 13.99% if you have good credit, but they also reserve the right to approve you at a rate as high as 23.99%, so be careful to check what they actually give you.

If you have a strong relationship with Triple A and really use their services often, this card might make sense, but otherwise there are better options on the market. See our Cash Back Credit Cards page and/or Travel Credit Cards page for other options to consider.

Even though the AAA card offer is basically the same everywhere, in order to apply online, you will need to go to the AAA site and offer your zip code in order to access the application for your area.
